Follow RumBum as he embarks on an adventure to the ends of the world; hunting for all of the species known to man. Travel with him as he visits the savannahs of Africa, the mountain tops of Asia, Europe’s highlands, New Zealand’s mountains, Australia’s plains and forest and the heavy woods found throughout the United States of America. Every situation can and will be different, sometimes uncomfortable and perhaps even dangerous.
Andre started hunting when he was six years old when he accompanied his father, Jose Manuel Carbonell, on a hunting trip. Andre’s dad was born and raised in Cuba. Jose started hunting at the age of eighteen. During this time, he became an expert at hunting on a horse with the aid of hunting dogs. At the age of twenty five, Jose had the privilege of going on safari to the continent of Africa. This privilege turned into the experience of a lifetime as he was able to meet Mr. Ernest Hemingway. After the Cuban revolution, Jose came to the United States and continued his adventures in hunting. Later on his life, he was accompanied by his son, Andre.
Jose took Andre on his first hunting adventure to Argentina where he successfully harvested a hare. That hunting adventure is unforgettable to Andre as it led to his obsession and passion for the outdoors. Climbing trees and shooting .22-caliber bolt action led Andre to travel around the world thus giving him the opportunity to enjoy the vast variety of environments and natural sceneries that our world has to offer.
These days you can find Andre traveling with all his gear to different countries. Andre will be searching and discovering the vast variety of species these countries provide. At the same time, he will be contributing to the conservation and preservation of these species. Andre has become quite a marksman with his use of rifles, bows, and spears. This should come as no surprise because after all, he learned from the best; his dad, Jose.
